This article appeared in the Arizona Republic. by Karina Bland. I have found in the past few years that America's definition of domestic violence is very narrow and leaves many women out of being able to get help.
Here are the notes I took on the article.

There were 101 domestic violence deaths in Arizona in 2011. (this shocked even me)
If she tries to resist the violence will escalate.

Wow. There is so much for me to say about this article. But I cannot. At least not yet.
